Lauren Iida presents a slideshow about her current and upcoming projects in Cambodia including art tours, children's book writing and illustrating, working with folktales of the Bunong ethnic minority, and all of her work in Cambodia ties into her paper-cut artwork and current solo exhibition, «How to Trap a Memory.»

Lauren Iida was born in Seattle and holds a BFA from Cornish College of the Arts. She shares her time between Seattle and Cambodia where she leads art tours, writes and illustrates bilingual books for children and works in her cut paper studio, the ‘mobile atelier.’ Iida has exhibited her work at ArtXchange Gallery, King Street Station, the Mayor’s Gallery at Seattle City Hall, Shoreline City Hall, Twilight Gallery, Tacoma Spaceworks and Sculpture Northwest. She is an Artist Trust GAP Grant recipient and her work has been collected by the City of Seattle. Iida is the founder of 501©3 non-profit The Antipodes Collective which creates high quality learning materials for Cambodian children through worldwide artistic collaboration.
