Join us at Common Area Maintenance for the opening of “In My Heart I Built a House”, a series of relief prints by Meg O’Brien.
“We live our lives inside walls—how do the confines of the buildings we live in effect the people we become, the tastes we develop, and the comforts we seek? In her series, Meg negotiates with her notions of femininity within a constructed social framework using visual tropes found in early American folk art.”
There will be live music, libations, and a printing station for you to make a house of your very own!
Entrance is free.
Works will be for sale and all proceeds will go to Mary’s Place.
