Join Seattle Party for Socialism and Liberation as we celebrate Women's History Month by watching and discussing the film classic «Salt of the Earth» (1954).

Once banned in the US, this film tells the true story of a strike in New Mexico against the Empire Zinc Mine, led by the wives, mothers and sisters of the striking miners. Demanding pay equality between Anglo and Mexican workers, the bravery of the women in the face of racism, sexism and state repression remains a heroic chapter in the history of the working class in the United States.

Snacks and beverages provided, donations requested, no one turned away for lack of funds.
