Join us Tuesday, March 28 at Parliament Tavern for an opening night soiree to celebrate Change: Photographs by Scott M.X. Turner.
Turner takes photos of things most people walk right past. He brings his camera wherever he goes, snapping images of objects left behind and moments quickly forgotten. A newspaper photographer in high school and college, Turner set down his camera to play rock 'n' roll. When he procured a new-fangled «digital» camera a few years ago, he went back to work.
«The show is named ‘Change’ because photos not only tell stories, they ARE stories,» said Turner. «Each of these shots picks up the tale and moves it from then to now. I was just there at that moment and wrestled with the camera to make it see what I was seeing.»
The exhibit runs from March 28 to May 28 and will showcase 20 photographs hand-selected by Turner.
Opening night will include plenty of wine, merriment and Charley Rowan on piano and accordion. Support local art!
