Calling all vegans, vegetarians, and veg-curious people — join us to raise awareness for the climate impact of animal agriculture!
We will be joining the People's Climate March — Seattle, meeting at Occidental Park at 10am and marching to Westlake Park.
Why vegan? A WorldWatch report estimates that 32,000 million tons of carbon dioxide are emitted by livestock production each year, while the Environmental Protection Agency implicates animal agriculture as the largest emitter of methane, a more potent greenhouse gas than CO2. And according to the United Nations, animal agriculture is responsible for 18% of global greenhouse gas emissions--more than the entire transportation sector combined (13.5%). Reducing our consumption of animal products is essential to preventing the most devastating impacts of climate change and environmental pollution.
Join us as we march in solidarity with others across the country in the People's Climate March to bring this important issue to light.
