Join the Womxn of Color and Families marching contingent on Monday, May 1st, International Workers and Immigrants Rights March, as we stand up against racism, colonization, imperialism, capitalism, and patriarchy. We are marching for the dignity and respect of communities worldwide and Mother Earth.
WHEELCHAIRS, STROLLERS, BANNERS, and FLAGS! The pace of our marching contingent wil be set by the children, womxn of color, and those with disabilities. We welcome people with families (blood and chosen), children, disabilities, elderly, queer, trans, and gender non-conforming folks, allies, friends, and comrades to join us. Youth will be supporting us with a marshall escort. We will provide our own van shuttle for the contingent to get folks around.
UPDATE: We are meeting midpoint of the May Day march, at McGraw Square on 6th and Stewart, at 1:20pm. We will have a mini-rally at 2pm to highlight issues impacting working families and then merge with the big march. Those interested in marching the entire way can meet with Social Justice Fund NW at 20th and Jackson to line up to join the march at 1pm.
We encourage people to go the May Day rally at Judkins Park at 11am and an end rally at Seattle Center. We will have a meet up spot by Fisher Pavilion for everyone to eat and get together for the rally.
