Amie Siegel: Interiors
May 20-September 3, 2017
New York-based artist Amie Siegel works between film, photography, performance, and installation. In her solo exhibition Interiors, she investigates ideas about objects and their perceived cultural value, and the power systems innate to connoisseurship and museum practice.
Between the Frames: The Frye Art Museum Collection After 1952
April 29-July 23, 2017
This exhibition presents a selection of works that have joined the Frye Art Museum's collection since it opened in 1952. Highlighting celebrated favorites alongside seldom-viewed works, Between the Frames provides a unique chronology of the Museum’s sixty-five-year history. At its core, this exhibition asks: why do museums collect, and how do collections help institutions evolve?
