Being John Mclaughlin: Six Seattle mavericks brilliantly reprise the timeless music of Mahavishnu Orchestra, the astounding 1970s project of the legendary English guitarist/composer. Guitarist Tristan Gianola stokes the inner mounting flame with Jake Sele (keys), Alicia DeJoie (violin), Geoff Harper (bass), and John Bishop (drums).
X-RAY was first started in 1996 with the very talented musicians Sean Divine, Darrren Loucas, John and Jim Steffen. First described as Junkyard Jazz, They played anywhere they could and got REALLY GOOD. They recorded two very excellent C.D.s, X-RAY (1998) and THE HEELS OF SPRING (2001). Shortly thereafter, Jim And Sean again put on their sophisticated other-worldly armor and formed the 2nd version of X-RAY, with new members Trevor McKorkindale, Bill Malloy, and Dan Weber on drums.
