Centered around its new kinetic musical sculpture, Interspecies Communication, commissioned by the Black Rock Arts Foundation, 4Culture, and Seattle Parks and Recreation Arts in the Parks Program and in collaboration with Jack Straw Cultural Center, lelavision will present a free music and dance performance inspired by collaborative behavior, migratory patterns and flocking formations. The performance will feature Lelavision performers and several community groups from Vashon and the Seattle area.
Opening by the Duwamish Tribe followed by Lelavision animation of the sculpture and human murmuration finale. 3pm-4:30 approximately.
Following that, there will be sharings by musicians and dancers and a communal potluck/ dance party.
