Catch nine of the best short films from TWIST Seattle Queer Film Festival only on Tuesday, July 11 at 1:30 PM or 6:45 PM. Shorts in this package include documentary, drama, dance, comedy, and experimental genres.

Admission: $10 General Admission (discounts for students, seniors and military) and $8 matinee.

Stick around after the screening and meet the filmmakers Sam McWilliams and Paige Gratland of BOOTWMN and Danny Tayara of OH, I GET IT:

Sam McWilliams is a tattoo artist from San Francisco, California, with a BFA from California College of Arts and Crafts in painting and drawing. Paige Gratland is a Canadian artist who studied film production at Ryerson University (Toronto). Her work has screened at The Images Festival (Toronto), The Anthology Film Archive (NYC) and Inside Out Gay and Lesbian Film Festival (Toronto). They both now live in Vancouver, BC, Canada and BOOTWMN is their first documentary film. BOOTWMN has played at over forty film festivals in nine countries and was an official selection for the Hot Docs Canadian International Film Festival (Toronto, ON), Frameline (San Francisco) and Outfest (Los Angles, CA.) BOOTWMN also won the Audience Choice Award at Dyke Drama Film Festival (Perth, AU), Favorite Lesbian Short Award at Twist Seattle Queer Film Festival (Seattle, US) and was commended Best Documentary at the Women Over 50 Film Festival (Brighton, UK).

Danny Tayara is a filmmaker and festival programmer in Seattle, WA. They founded Seattle Queer Filmmakers, a hub for people looking to make connections and find collaborators. Currently Senior Programmer with Three Dollar Bill Cinema, Danny is Festival Director for TWIST: Seattle Queer Film Festival and assists in programming for Translations: Seattle Transgender Film Festival. They also manage the Reel Queer Youth filmmaking program. Film projects include: Pizza Roles, The Curse, You’ve Got Tail, Oh, I Get It, Lucky Them, The Big Adventures of Little Jackie Mac, and While We’re Asleep. Danny’s pronouns are He/She/They.
