Put your dancing shoes on and celebrate the 15th annual Kenmore Summer Concert Series. These free community events run for six consecutive Thursdays starting July 6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Saint Edward State Park, 14445 Juanita Drive NE. Parking for the concert is free.
Irish-American folk band RUNA is quickly gaining recognition as one of Irish music’s new “super-groups.” RUNA has been enchanting audiences by pushing the boundaries of Irish folk music into the Americana and roots music formats since their formation in 2008. Interweaving the haunting melodies and exuberant tunes of Ireland and Scotland with the lush harmonies and intoxicating rhythms of jazz, bluegrass, flamenco and blues, they offer a thrilling and redefining take on traditional music.
Concert-goers are invited to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic dinners to share a special summer night under the open sky. Alcohol is not permitted. Pets are allowed but must be leashed.
Food vendors Chillz Ice Cream, Grilled Cheese Experience, Macho Burgers, and The Vet Chef will be on-site.
Here is the 2017 lineup:
