Put your dancing shoes on and celebrate the 15th annual Kenmore Summer Concert Series. These free community events run for six consecutive Thursdays starting July 6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Saint Edward State Park, 14445 Juanita Drive NE. Parking for the concert is free.
Old-timey Americana artists Ben Hunter and Joe Seamons are a roots music duo based in the Pacific Northwest. These two are what you might call songsters with deep roots in the blues and folk as well as jazz, ragtime, gospel and really the whole panoply of pre-World War II American music. They make music that hews to the rough-and-tumble collisions of musical inspirations from the early 20th century; music that paved the way for everything we enjoy today.
Concert-goers are invited to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic dinners to share a special summer night under the open sky. Alcohol is not permitted. Pets are allowed but must be leashed.
Food vendors Chillz Ice Cream, Grilled Cheese Experience, Macho Burgers, and Tabassum will be on-site.
