The Vera Project Presents
Tuesday July 25
Perceptive, yet accessible, Pastel Motel blends art rock and progressive pop to create a distinguished sound that is both relevant, and reverent to the past. Despite abundant praise for their debut album, the band from Yakima, Washington is primarily known for their exciting, improvisational live shows.
— Moon Ensemble
Coming from the underground music circuit of San Gabriel Valley, Moon Ensemble has branded a unique sound that blends the spacey surrealism of psychedelic rock with the infectious grooves of electronic funk. Moon Ensemble released their Self-Titled EP in August 2016 and have been blazing trails with live performances across the West Coast. Moon Ensemble is a combination of influences including; ShoeGaze, Funk, Blues, and a generous dash of Psychedelic Dance. The combination is dubbed “Funk Gaze.”
— Withering Blooms
Withering Blooms is six musicians, longtime friends, from the Northwest making rock music in Seattle, Washington. If the sound was a painting, it would be a rock n' roll canvas splattered Pollack-style with tastes from across the genres — blues, funk, electronic, and soul. Definitively its own. Lyrics as important as melody — Production as important as Songwriting.
Inspired by The Doors, My Morning Jacket, Led Zeppelin, The Black Keys, Electric Light Orchestra — Influences outside the Music world are also in full view: Literature and film, politics and theatre. With two guitars, two keyboards, bass, drums, and a penchant for vocal harmonies — the band has an explosive energy, and an infectious sound.
