In honor of Storme Webber’s Casino: A Palimpsest, the Frye is hosting a museum-wide celebration featuring gallery tours, art-making activities for families, and a performance featuring Storme Webber and special guests.

COMMUNITY DAY EVENTS
12–1 pm: Family Tour with Storme Webber
Families with kids of all ages are invited to join artist Storme Webber for an informal tour of the exhibition Storme Webber | Casino: A Palimpsest.
1–3 pm: Treats in the courtyard
Our friends at Full Tilt Ice Cream will be giving out ice cream bars in the café courtyard while supplies last! Vegan options available; limit one per visitor.
1–4 pm: Drop-in Art Making: Memory Maps
Stop by the Art Studio for a project inspired by the work in Storme Webber | Casino: A Palimpsest, exploring the places where memories are made. Families are encouraged to bring photographs from home to use during this activity; materials and printers will also be available for use on site.
2–3:30 pm: A Space of Ancestor Honoring
Storme Webber and her maternal cousin, singer Valerie Rosa, welcome the souls and the witnesses to Casino: A Palimpsest. Their “Lush Life” performance, a new collaborative work of poetic text and song, with music by pianist Amos Miller, is an offering of celebration and welcoming: an open door.
3:30–4 pm: Special Exhibition Tour
Join Alfred Ern Escorpiso, Education Intern, for an informal conversation in the Partnership for Youth exhibition, ALIVE Flora, Light and Water in the Seattle Landscape.
4–5 pm: Gallery talk with Storme Webber and Miranda Belarde-Lewis
Join artist Storme Webber and exhibition curator Miranda Belarde-Lewis for an informal tour of the exhibition Storme Webber | Casino: A Palimpsest.
Free tickets for the 2 pm performance may be picked up in the Auditorium Foyer 30 minutes prior to the start of the program.

at least two days prior to the event. Each member may reserve two tickets and may claim their tickets in the Foyer beginning at 1 pm the day of the performance; member RSVP tickets must be claimed fifteen minutes prior to the start of the program.
