You are cordially invited to our monthly series, Tea & Sound. The purpose of these events is to give people the experience of focused, calm listening and tea drinking, without talking or other distractions.

When was the last time you simply sat still and listened to one complete recording of a piece of music? You will be surprised at how affecting the experience can be, and how different it is from watching a live musical performance.

We will play music that you may or may not be familiar with. We will also serve a couple of teas that compliment and enhance the sensory experience.

The event will start at 6:00 at the close of the retail shop hours. We'll spend 15 minutes welcoming guests and setting up, then we will all stop talking and the music will begin at 6:15. All mobile phones or other sound making devices will need to be silenced and out of sight for the duration of the listening part of the event.

At the conclusion of the recording, people are free to stay and talk for a bit, or leave. No pressure or expectations either way. There is no cost for attending the event, but we will have a jar out in case anyone feels like making a small contribution.
