You're invited! Come to a plus-size clothing swap at Fierce Love Yoga in Snohomish, WA. If you’ve never been to a clothing swap, they’re tons of fun: you bring spare clothes, trade them for others, nibble on snacks and make new friends, all in a body-positive environment.
To participate, PLEASE RSVP. To RSVP, send a PM to Sweet Amaranth or S Lindley Ashline, or email [email protected]
When you RSVP, it helps us plan to have enough clothing racks and snacks for everyone.
What to bring:
— Clothes in good condition
— Bras, underwear, socks, tights, and lingerie in new condition («Tried it on, didn't like it» counts)
— Shoes in good condition
— Jewelry, accessories, and handbags
— A hanger for each piece of clothing you bring, if possible
How the swap works:
> Hang out with friendly larger ladies for the afternoon and try on clothes!
> There will be a semi-private space to change in if you're shy.
> Any leftover clothing will be donated to an appropriate charity. (If you brought something that's not claimed and you want to take it back home, feel free.)
This is a body positive event. Fierce Love Yoga is a safe space, which means:
— We don't talk negatively about the bodies of ourselves or others
— We don't participate in or allow diet or weight loss discussions
— We enjoy the food, drink, and activities we came together for without judgment or shame
Parking: Parking lot
Guests: The more, the merrier! Feel free to bring a friend.
Some people have inquired about bringing folks who identify as men. Unfortunately, we do limit this event to folks who identify as female (transwomen are welcome).
Food: I’ll provide some light snacks, and feel free to bring your own favorite nibbles or drinks to share.
Accessibility: There's ramp into the building and one step into the bathroom. (No railings on the ramp or at the bathroom.)
Any refreshments offered will be labeled or have the packaging available, for those with allergens. If you have a particular food or chemical allergy you'd like me to avoid, just let me know at least a week in advance, please.
