You’ve taken our Mountaineering: Beginner course and broken through the barrier of entry to the mountains! You’ve prepared yourself, asked all the appropriate questions, and researched all the gear you need. You wonder, what can I expect on glaciated terrain? Now’s the time to put your knowledge and practice to use at altitude in the mountains. Join the Kaf team on Mount Baker or Mount Shuksan for three days as we teach you more technical skills that will make you feel empowered to camp comfortably on snow, travel safely on a glacier with a rope team, and walk confidently on steep snow because you know how to self-arrest. We put an emphasis on answering all of your unknowns and making sure you descend the mountain confident in your abilities to execute your own trip as a competent peer leader. Join us in experiencing the excitement of a true mountaineering expedition and finally experience the challenge of the cascades, and the freedom of the mountains!
