Join your friends and neighbors for Inspired Chef, a series of pop-up dinners on Tuesday nights at Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. Each dinner features a different chef or restaurant focusing on something that inspire them to do what they do—a specific cuisine, another chef, a part of the world, a food movement, the season, or whatever else moves them.
Marcia Newlands has worked with food for most of her life. Starting in a bakery in Austin, she moved to an Italian restaurant, then on to cooking courses at Le Cordon Blue in Paris and the Culinary Institute (CIA) in Napa Valley. While still living in Seattle, she owned and operated her own catering company, The Savory Gourmet. Since moving to Bainbridge Island almost five years ago, Marcia has worked at the former Intentional Table, cheffing wine dinners and special events, at Simply Bainbridge catering company, and has prepared ethnic dinners at the Fireside Room in the Inn at Vineyard Lane.
