Join us in Discovery Park for a short walk and lunch to discuss the immense value of our public lands and waters, and how we can protect them. Representatives from Congresswoman Jayapal's office, Attorney General Bob Ferguson's office, and Patagonia will be speaking about what is being done to protect our shared places.
In response to Trump's Executive Order, Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke has been reviewing 27 of our national monuments, with the threat of shrinking their borders or rescinding protections. On August 24th, he'll deliver his recommendations to the president.
Now more than ever, we need to show the Trump administration how important our public lands are to the people who live, work, and play in them. Let's send a strong message — in person — that places like Hanford Reach National Monument must continue to be protected for generations to come.
