This fall, Ariel and Elaine are teaming up to teach you a dynamic solo jazz routine. Here's what to expect:
— A holistic approach to Solo Jazz combining Ariel's energetic, jazz mad style, Elaine's grace and precision, and their combined passion for musicality.
— Technical, body aware instruction.
— Fast paced learning. (Exercise those choreo muscles!)
— Lots of sweat and jazzy bliss!
This class will be at an intermediate and above level. It's recommended that you be comfortable with the Shim Sham and have learned at least one other solo jazz routine--Tranky Doo, Big Apple, Mama's Stew, Trickeration, or original routines all count! (If you don't have much experience with choreography, expect to spend some time outside of class rehearsing the routine.)
We will be dancing to a 2 min. cut of Duke Ellington's «It Don't Mean A Thing». Check out the uncut version here ---> youtube.com/watch?v=-FvsgGp8rSE
