DRA. CLAUDIA ELIZABETH GUTIERREZ LOPEZ
Claudia is a healer of Maya and Mexica (Aztec) descent. She has a conventional medical degree and has also studied the famous ancient healing arts of the Maya and other alternative forms of medicine. Originally from Mexico City, she has lived for the last 10 years in Yucatan jungle.
• National Autonomous University of Mexico School of Medicine (2008)
• Sundust Oracle Institute (2013).
Living for more than 10 years in the mayan lands, she was introduced to traditional healers: the local shamans, midwives and bone healers.
After getting to know the mayan culture (contemporary). And learning a little bit of mayan language. Claudia was honored to learn from a local midwife the traditional massage that women do as the begging process to become a midwife. This massage works with the natural flow of the energy in the body, restoring it’s circulation and specially working with the navel, for the mayan there is a special ball of energy that they call the “cirro” that (as they say) lives in the belly button and it keeps the balance and the right function of the inner organs. Also for some they can work with the uterus bringing it back in place.
This massage is an art that unfortunately is disappearing because the new generations of this mayan towns are no longer interested on preserving them. That’s why after a couple of years of friendship with my midwife and teacher she agreed to share this treasure with me. And spread the wisdom.
‘I AM A HEALER, I HAVE MY DEGREE AS A MEDICAL DOCTOR, BUT I´M ALSO OPEN TO USE ANY OTHER ALTHERNATIVE MEDICINE THAT WILL HELP TO HEAL PEOPLE, BECAUSE THE MOST IMPORTANT FOR ME IS THE PATIENTS HEALTH, NO MATHER WHAT HEALING TOOL WE USE.’
