Emergency Rally: No Ban, No Wall, Justice for All!

American civil rights, and their nature as a haven for refugees and immigrants, have been under sustained attack. The fabric of American society is under threat by those that wish to see an authoritarian and racist system crush those that they deem unworthy.

We do not accept the Muslim Ban; neither do we accept the deportation of the Dreamers, children who have known no other home than the United States.

Further, we decry and denounce the utterly un-American proposed policy of DHS to probe social media belonging to immigrants—including legal permanent residents, naturalized citizens and citizens who associate with immigrants.

We refuse the murder of innocent people of color by police. We do not accept Nazis shouting «Jews will not replace us!» We do not accept violence against Americans of any gender or color or creed. We will not be silenced by bigots, nor cowed by their violence.

Please join us Sunday the 15th of October from 1pm to 5pm, at Westlake Park, to protest the Muslim Ban, the deportation of the Dreamers, anti-Semitism, policy brutality against people of color and the unconstitutional probing of immigrant's social media.

This page will be updated with information regarding speakers in the coming days.

We demand that:

1. The Muslim Ban in its entirety be revoked and that the cap on refugee admissions be raised.

2. DACA recipients be protected entirely; there should be no deportations nor detentions for these children. Further, that sanctuary cities and states reaffirm their commitment as safe havens, and take demonstrable steps in that regard.

3. The proposed DHS policy modification for the Privacy Act of 1974, System of Records, [Docket No. DHS–2017–0038] which seeks to monitor conversations of legal immigrants, including Greencard holders, naturalized citizens and native-born citizens who communicate with immigrants via «social media handles and aliases, associated identifiable information and search results” be revoked in its entirety.

4. Elected officials from both sides of the aisle, at all levels of government, to publicly support the above demands.
