w/ Meli Darby ( Upstream Music Fest + Summit) and Austin Santiago ( Do206 / @Buildstrong).

Hear from two of Seattle's prominent music industry pro's as they discuss promotion and branding for up-and-coming artists. Topics will include tips and insights for establishing your brand, building your team, acquiring management, creating DIY campaigns, plus effective tools and organization for top-level self-promotion and more.

GUEST SPEAKER BIOS:

Meli Darby is currently the lead programming curator of Upstream Music Fest + Summit. She has been talent buying and producing diverse concerts in the Northwest for nearly two decades. Prior to joining the Upstream team, Meli founded independent production company ReignCity and is the former talent buyer for both The Crocodile, and Nectar Lounge.

Austin Santiago is the Vice President for Seattle media property and promotional powerhouse Do206. His experience includes seven years as national talent buyer and marketing manager at the Wild Buffalo House Of Music, three years as talent buyer and marketing manager for the Summer Meltdown Music Festival, and a decade of independent event and band management experience as the creative director for the BuildStrong Music Group. He currently manages a roster of four acts including Moorea Masa, Cuff Lynx, Chong the Nomad, & Ca$h Bandicoot.
