Tools for Empaths: Empowering the Sensitive
(A Month-long Immersion)
hosted by Amanda Moreno (aquarianspirals.com)
Registration is for 3 Mondays; April 16, 30 & May 14
An Empath is someone who consciously or unconsciously tends to sponge up other people’s emotions. Being an empath can be overwhelming, but is also a gift that also allows us to understand complex emotional dynamics and relationships. The Empath as an archetype — a collective symbol — seems to be a newly emerging concept, and one that is rapidly gaining attention.
In this series, which takes place over three in-person sessions, join Amanda Moreno (aquarianspirals.com) as we explore what it means to be highly sensitive, come together to discuss and share and troubleshoot, and work on deconstructing and reconstructing our personal mythologies.
The goal of these classes is to empower each individual to use their particular gifts in ways that contribute to their own health and happiness as well as the healing of the collective. This intention emphasizes a need to move away from pathologizing sensitivity and greeting the world as if it is attacking us or inherently painful or malicious. We can't get rid of our empathicness, but we can learn the ways it is an asset and constructive strategies for self care.
This series is meant for anyone who could use more tools for understanding their emotional nature, self-identified Empaths, empathic types, people who feel a lot, and those who work with empathic types or highly sensitive people. If you have any questions, please contact Amanda at [email protected]
Session 1 (Monday, 4/16): Boundaries and Care of the Body
In this session we’ll cover the basics:
*what it means to be empathic vs. empathetic vs. highly sensitive
*different types of Empaths
*dealing with overwhelm
*grounding & centering; shielding vs. letting things flow
*understanding how your body might store other people’s stuff
*understanding the impact of environment on your body and psyche
*Why and how to setting up a daily practice
Session 2 (Monday, April 30): Relationship & Shadow
In this class we’ll explore different types of relationships and our own personal stories around our wounds, including some work with the potential shadows, or unconscious patterns, of the archetypal empath. This class will include discussions and exercises relating to:
*the drama triangle
*the mother wound and other family dynamics
*exploring how narcissism can be related to empathic traits
*empathic types and romantic relationships
Session 3 (Monday, May 14): The Empowered Empath
In this class we’ll explore the place of The Empath on the collective stage during times of change — like the times we’re living through now. We’ll discuss overarching self-care strategies, potential actions we can take that are both large and small, as well as:
*Reconstructing our personal mythologies
*explore the interplays between being an empathic type and fatigue, stress, illness, etc.
*creating an action plan – and a restoration plan
*understanding and respecting your own limits
*the many gifts of the Empath, and how can you put them to use during times of change
Because of the nature of this material, especially the second session which will deal directly with ‘shadow’ material, I’m offering the class in two forms.
You can choose to attend the sessions on their own, or you can choose to attend the sessions while also receiving email support for any questions or processing you might have along with a private, 1:1 coaching session to be held anytime between April 16 — May 31. This is for anyone who would like more support with shadow integration work or a personalized way of navigating their empathic nature.
The total cost for the series by itself is $100-130 if paid by March 20; $130 thereafter
The total cost for the series with 1:1 support is $200
Class size is limited to 6.
*Please note that due to demand and other limitations, no refunds or transfers will be made once payment is submitted. I will make exceptions on a case-by-case basis if I am able to fill your spot.
